Aromatherapy is the art and science of using aromatic plant extracts, also known as essential oils, to bring balance to the body and mind. Essential oils are tiny, potent chemical molecules that hold the living "essence" of the plant from which they came. These volatile aromatic compounds possess anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-depressant (and many more) qualities. Essential oils are natural, but they must be handled with care and treated with respect. Before using any essential oil it is best practice to do your research and ensure you are aware of the safety precautions and proper usage, or better yet - consult an Aromatherapist!

Certified Aromatherapists are not issued a registration number. However, some insurance companies have extended benefits that cover health- related services that do not require this. Reach out to your benefit provider to inquire about your coverage.
